Gas Prices in BR

I understand the further away you get from the refinery, distribution costs add to the price per gallon of gas. But, why on Earth is gas over 15-cents cheaper in Shenandoah than over in St. George? What a racket. It's like the price jumps when you cross Airline Hwy. I'm sure LSU is crazy expensive compared to elsewhere, but those students get gouged anyways. Just not sure why two BTR neighborhoods of similar median house values are different
I'm sure N.O. has some screwed up price variants around town also. Feel free to share.

Same reason property values get more expensive.
They know you will pay it instead of driving to the hood.
Have to imagine the gas station in Bocage is still the most expensive in the city.

Gas more in St George because they are saving up for that big beautiful wall to protect it from BR

Most of the stations I've seen around BR are about the same, about $2.15 give or take .05.
The only ones where I regularly see a drastic difference in prices are the gas station on Highland at LSU Avenue (always higher even though other stations near campus are not) and the ridiculously expensive Cheveron (?) on Jefferson near Bocage.

Go to Chevron in Bocage. Cheapest in the city.

What do you not understand here? It’s the same reason La rouge mart outside of Bocage is absurdly more expensive.
I see I’m not the first to mention the place

Hey dummy. I know Bocage is filled with expensive, large homes. What do you not understand? I clearly said in the OP that Shenandoah and St. George are similar valuations/income levels. So, why are the gas prices 5% higher.

Holy shite! .15/gallon? Good God, call the authorities.
That’s like a whole $3 per fill up.
You better not stop a the Burger King in Dutchtown. That will probably kill you.

I totally get why Bocage and LSU have exorbitant gas prices.
