Oil prices down to 4 year lows!!
WSJ article

Oil prices slid Friday to their lowest levels in nearly four years. A plan to increase supply by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies added to fears that tariffs will plunge the global economy into recession. Brent crude, the global benchmark, slid nearly 8% to under $65 a barrel, which if it holds would be the lowest end-of-day settlement price since August 2021. West Texas Intermediate, the U.S. equivalent, dropped more than 8% to around $61, which if it holds will be the lowest since April 2021. In an unexpected move, eight OPEC+ countries said Thursday they will increase output by 411,000 barrels a day next month.

Good that OPEC is selling more of their oil. We can conserve some of ours for later. We will need oil for a lot of things in the future besides fuel and energy.

Fantastic news. Who knew all we needed was a recession to lower oil prices! Last time it took a pandemic scare to do it. Winning!!!

So in your world there is just a faucet we turn on and off as needed? Monty Miller will like to have a conversation with you.
The U.S. energy sector lost billion of $$$ in the first three years of the last Trump administration so this should be no different. I guess the logic is that energy independence is a completely overrated concept and we should be buying all our oil from foreign countries that want to destroy us.

Oil was below $40 a barrel back in 2018. That bust cycle started in 2015.

They shot up to $2.90 per gallon this week for some reason. Had been down to $2.59.

Just checked Costco's gas pricing. It's $2.54 for regular and $3.23 for premium.

The only reason oil got so low in 2020 was because refineries were at best running at 50%, most were shutdown and almost no one was buying gasoline.
Oil prices are down across the board today. Might mean a penny or two at the pump. Refineries don't make money on gasoline sales. They barely breakeven
Also, drilling in the US will STOP
