Have you thought about starting a youtube channel to document your finds and sales? Some of those guys that do this have built up a nice following and make money off youtube.

How do you decide which sales to go to? We have done some of this but never have the success you have. BTW I am not looking on your turf.
I enjoy seeing your posts.

Beautiful piece of Roseville, looks to be in good shape too, nice find.
I remember the days when Roseville was untouchable. The prices on even common pieces were sky high. Now, due to continued production and an influx of reproductions and outright copies, that value has dropped steeply. The internet also helped with that as well. The good news is that pieces are more obtainable now for collectors, but the bad news is that only the rarest pieces maintained that previous value.
The same can be said for Fenton. I watched people go crazy over that stuff, paying ungodly amounts for some of it. Now, they can't give alot of the common stuff away.

It is all in the numbers. You have to go regularly and get there early. You can find value at a high percentage of sales, but getting consistent finds takes a consistent approach.

Not today. This was third day of the sale. Everything was 50% off.

I'm tempted to find your ebay page and watch for those wings.

Picked up this schweet lamp made out of one of those old railroad lanterns. Can change from the white to green and red inserts for $5.

In other words, junk from grandma’s house that people would have valued when there might have been a scintilla of charm and grace in the world.

Be sure it is a manual charger, not an automatic. And go ahead and spring for graphite plates if you can find them. It will save you a ton of hassle after your sacrificial steel anodes corrode after only a few hours.

Yeah, I was more referring to the yard sale aspect.
When going to estate sales, I will go early on the first day and buy what is worth the asking price if I think it won't last. If something strikes my interest, but it is too high, I will go on the final day. I have an in or two with the estate sale companies around here, but I hate early selling about as much as I do those who "seed" sales.

That is an aebleskiver pan.
Basically a Dutch round snack like a pancake, I think, is what you make in them.

So what happens if you buy something that turns out to be valuable?
Does someone from the original estate sue?
Not sure how this stuff works.

Nice Zephyr roseville basket. I've found selling roseville, and factory pottery in general, to be very hit and miss. The market isn't what it used to be. There are exceptions of course but I'm afraid that type of collectible is going down the same road as the brown furniture antiques.

Who would sue who for what?

People sell their stuff at prices they’re agreeable to. Or they might hire someone to sell their stuff for them. Other people buy it.

Are you reselling this stuff on ebay or do you have your own store?
