this makes a lot more sense after reading your recent post history.

I've felt the same way. I went and played cards with friends last night and was able to let go of everything on my mind and it felt better. I'm still upset but my brain really needed that reprieve from what is happening. I urge you to go be with friends and enjoy the game.

No don’t download X. Don’t look at TikTok. Why subject yourself to brainwashing on platforms that are crawling with enemies of America engineering chaos here? Think for yourself.

This one feels different somehow, not sure why
Was this an unthinkable tragedy? Of course it was.
But so was the slaughter of a million men, women and children in the Middle East over a 20-plus year period, and we didn’t seem to have a problem with that. In fact, for the most part, we cheered it on.

These arent bots... or enemies of America engineering choas... these are your neighbors making these posts. The number one group that has shown to post the vile celebration of his death has consistently been teachers who have shown they are not bots because a good deal of them have been fired now. It's perfectly okay for you to put your head in the sand and say you dont care. I live in a very red county and even in my county we had the owner of a vet clinic celebrating Kirk's death. I personally want to know the evil that's in my country and in this world, but I get that everyone doesnt want to know that.

We will have our typical weekend tailgate with family and friends starting today, like we do for every home game.
There is no avoiding Satan in this world.
He comes to kill, rob, and destroy, but he will not win in the End.
Charlie Kirk was a Man of God, and now he is Home.
We will enjoy our fellowship and the game, but certainly, there will be a pall over our gathering.
Love your family and friends, and remember your blessings, as we will.

That’s right, if people don’t think or look like you they shouldn’t be given the same consideration.
I keep forgetting the brilliance of this “Christian” board.

Nobody said people who “don’t look like us” deserve less consideration. no one. That’s your pathetic straw man, not the point being made.
This isn’t about denying anyone’s humanity; it’s about refusing to let you minimize or excuse a political assassination on American soil by hiding behind false equivalence and moral grandstanding. Try engaging with what was actually said instead of pretending you’ve uncovered some deep hypocrisy. fricking weirdo.

We are in a Civil War, the left is hot but we are the usual simps trying to be "civil"

That an the solution being boubon are some big red flags. Not criticizing and won't say I am not guilty of it myself at times but it's time to step away when something causes depression and anxiety and the only release seems to be alcohol.

This. When social media becomes to heavy, I take a break. We don’t realize how it affects us until that break. That includes Fox News, etc. Stay away from it all. Life was better before it all.

Yeah true the relationship was parasocial.
But also, he wasn’t. You didn’t know him. None of you did other than perhaps a brief talk with him in his arena, which is a highly curated campus tour.
You all need to snap the frick out of it.

So just have knee-jerk reactions to everything that happens and lend yourself to being easily herded by the Deep State propaganda.
That seems to fit in with the general attitude around here.
ETA: It’s also most likely what got him killed.

OP - This is actually a good thing....
You are now focused on what is important to you. At the end of the day, LSU football won't be there. Family will.
Get off social media and focus on what is important. You can still teach her to be aware of evil. She will see it. Don't worry about that.

I don't know if it helps but I have tried to separate different platforms into different types of "material"
X is mostly news, sports, etc. and I am pretty particular about who I follow. No interest in shite from Josh Pate, Dave Portnoy, Bill Maher, James Carville, etc. I'll never go to the "for you" timeline.
IG is mostly photos from family, friends, places and don't really care who follows me and I follow ALOT of people I may not even know or will ever meet
FB is more for family, friends, people I interact with and where share more "personal" things. I normally go directly to the hamburger menu and just view the Feed from my friends to avoid the sponsored shite, ads, etc
For me, it helps me "filter" out SOME of the bullshite by avoiding one platform or another.

“Deep State propaganda.” = your safety blanket. A convenient and smug way to dismiss anything without ever engaging in the conversation.
All you have done with this post is parrot the same buzzwords you used earlier to avoid having to defend your own minimization of Charlie Kirk’s assassination. If you’ve got an argument, make it. If all you’ve got is “Deep State,” you’re just proving you don’t.

By your logic, nobody should have wasted a moment yesterday mourning 9/11 victims unless they personally knew them.
