It’s hard for me to pass up a steak, but steak at Fred’s is the equivalent of gas station sushi. Now steak at Fred’s at 12:00, 1:30 am, maybe. Steak at Fred’s in the daylight, nah, I’m good.

I know about a dive neighborhood bar in midcity NOLA that offered steak in the 1990s. They were about 1/4” thick and required a lot of chewing.
