Georgia's North Paulding High School hit the student, 15-year-old Hannah Waters, with a 5-day suspension for posting that photo -- a shot she took out of concern for her safety ... as well as her classmates'.
Hannah had captioned the pic, "Day two at North Paulding High School. It is just as bad. We were stopped because it was jammed." She added that she was pushed multiple times, and defiantly posted, "This is not ok. Not to mention the 10% mask rate."

New audio said to have been leaked from an announcement over the high school's intercom declares that any student who posts something that shows the school in a negative light can be subject to disciplinary action.

Well the sister of the girl who got suspended has a Twitter bio that reads:
So if her sister is anything like her I don't feel bad for her at all
ETA: And THIS is the sister (the one who posted it and got suspended)
quote:
Take it to the streets and frick the police no justice no peace

Well that is going to get the school in some hot water, if its public.

There is almost certainly more to this story than she got a 5 day suspension solely for posting the pic

Y’all, we have to let 15 year olds dictate what is and isn’t okay.
With all their wealth of life experiences and all.
What do us old farts know.

Gotta imagine many school systems have the same type of social media policies that businesses have.

I’ve been out of school for over 25 years and that smell still haunts me.

I thought the Goebbels family fled to Uruguay, Brasil or Argentina.
Who would have thought his prole would be in Paulding county, Georgia.

Yeah, she's a kid
Kids are rebellious by nature, it makes sense that she'd go with the flow of the popular "frick the establishment" narrative of her generation.
Doesn't mean she should be suspended for posting a fricking picture

Truly a bastion of intelligence and rationalism this one.

not nearly as bad as death that she would have gotten in North Korea

Hey, if you want to let a teenager tell you how to live your life, go ahead.
But as a recovering teen, I can tell you that there is a whole lot of stupid inside that angsty, pimply, hormonal head.

I'd wager that if they suspended every kid who shared a photo of their school and/or classmates, there would be no kids left in attendance to teach.
