51 is based on the proposed northern extension of highway 3235 to highway 90/I-49. The infrastructure will be there once they do that and build a twin span on LA 1 to Fourchon years and years and years from now. Then they would just have to remove at grade crossings.

The odds of i14 happening or finishing i49 are slim to none, so I won't expect any of these other ones to come to fruition.

Actually a recent bill from Congress directed a split of I-27, one branch going through Big Spring, the other between Midland and Odessa. Have to keep everyone happy.
