Shouldn't we having flying cars by the time these are completed. So I guess politicians will go for it.

I-318 south of Lafayette needs to just go all the way to Pecan Island

I appreciate your optimism. But I see an interstate in Ferriday.

If we are hoping, then I want the Star Trek "Beam me up Scotty" system.

Lafayette gets a loop but BR still stuck in traffic hell.

B) If so, why not just continue 55 south from LaPlace and catch Hwy 1 around Raceland or just continue 310 south through Des Allemands and catch that same route?

51 is based on the proposed northern extension of highway 3235 to highway 90/I-49. The infrastructure will be there once they do that and build a twin span on LA 1 to Fourchon years and years and years from now. Then they would just have to remove at grade crossings.

Cars will be parked randomly about town and used on an on demand basis, like those scooters.

And BR still doesn’t have a loop?

If that picture were a reality, BR would effectively have a loop and traffic issues would be majorly improved. The odds of i14 happening or finishing i49 are slim to none, so I won't expect any of these other ones to come to fruition.

I-27 through Big Spring instead of Midland is correct.

Actually a recent bill from Congress directed a split of I-27, one branch going through Big Spring, the other between Midland and Odessa. Have to keep everyone happy.
