My E60 will be classic one day. Well maintained and bone stock, it'll be an old German car one day. Naturally aspirated I6 with a manual transmission...it's still my wife's car, but soon it'll be mine so I can put my touches to it. I'm going to put 250k on it.

The biggest problem with all of these cars is the aging of computer and tech equipment.

Advancements in programmable controllers and similar devices have made cloning replacements for obsolete electronic systems not much of a problem, if there is a demand someone will make sell it, and they already do for many of the "newer" classics.

Jay Leno wrote a good article about this.
I can't find it on my phone, but he thinks that alot of it will be nostalgia factor for when you're older.

Special edition mustangs(ie boss laguna seca), camaros, etc. Like someone said something like a Cobra R would do it.

Corvette stingray, zr1, z06.

96 impala SS

3000gt vr4

Firebird with the scoop and v8

Dodge stealth rt10 (?)

Ford lightning

NSX (not new ones)
Supra
ZR1
E30, e36 LTW & Canadian, e46 CSL, e9x comp packages, e39
Turbo S, GT2/3
Ford GT, maybe '03 Cobra
Viper

This list isn't a big surprise as these cars have bottomed out years ago. Besides the new Ford GT, can't think of a current car that is worthy.

Good list, but my thing with the Cobra R is there are so few of them. I picked the Mach and Terminator because there will be some around that an "average" person would be able to buy. Now I'm curious what 2000 R prices are today

I wanted a Stealth RT so bad when I was a kid. Not sure what it was about them, but I thought they were so cool back then. That and the VR4, but the love for those started with Gran Turismo on Playstation. That car was the fastest you could build in the game.

Lolz. Yea we would deck it out and lower the gears and do like 250+ on the test track.

The Cobra R is there for exactly that reason. That car will be worth a fortune in 30 years

Absolutely. Sell before you die so your kids aren't left holding the bag.

The big component to long term value is history. The new Ford GT has that.

Corvettes and Camaros will also roll into class car country due to their incredible following. I would say the same for Mustangs but the early/mid 80's were not very kind to the Stang.

I always loved the 1997 Dodge Dakota

and 2002 F-250
