My son just finished his freshman year at a Northshore Public High School and the baseball team request 1,000 per player for funds in addition to extra fundraisers throughout the year.

Football at kid's HS is $1200
Cheerleading for my daughter, lost count
Chorus/drama - we easily spent $1000
Doesn't include all the "trips" they take that we mostly opt out of. Dude, I'm not paying for you to go to Costa Rica, New Orleans, Disney World... WTF is this?

Makes me really appreciate my one kid that mostly enjoys critters, hunting, and fishing.

What if you said no? Something tells me Public school football players ain’t paying that
