DENVER - A temporary frontline worker stands accused of stealing an engagement ring from a patient at an assisted living facility in Denver, Colo., who died of COVID-19.
Prosecutors said Elizabeth Daniels, 29, also used the woman’s credit card to purchase a vehicle the day the woman passed away.
Daniels faces charges of theft from an at-risk victim over $500, identity theft, providing a false statement to a pawnbroker and criminal possession of a financial transaction device.
Prosecutors said Daniels pawned the engagement ring belonging to Barbara Gust, 86, who lived in the memory care wing at Carillon at Belleview Station, “an upscale senior living community offering a continuum of care services including independent living, assisted living and memory care.”

Her name could have fooled you. I'm surprised they included the mugshot.

She could have gotten away with stealing just the ring. Who the frick thinks they can get away with Stealing a credit card and buying a car???? This person needs to go to jail for life for being the stupidest motherfricker on the planet.

Look this woman is already a hero, but she also has to face white privilege on a daily basis. Can we just give her a medal of freedom and move on?

Stories like this disgust me. Anytime I hear stories like this I think about the Florida Gator Football player that was kicked off the team after he stole the credit card of a girl killed in a motorcycle accident (her bf was on the team and also killed in the accident). Ole Miss was recruiting the thief until they started getting bad publicity because of it (hopefully I helped with that). I was really good friends with the girl's family and it was just horrible that they had to go through this in addition to losing their daughter. Hopefully the judge has no leniency.

I’m trying to figure out how she was even able to buy the car. You can’t just call in over the phone with the credit card number.

Fake news. Nobody dies of Covid 19. The OT told me so.
