One night at Winstar, a waitress was giving me free drinks. All of the sudden, she came and took them all back...

You know retail stores or grocery stores don't put up clocks, either. It's not like some evil thing to not display the time for your patrons.

I was told by someone working at an Indian casino in Oklahoma that casinos owned by Indian tribes don't serve alcohol due to the fact that the alcoholism rate among the Native American population is astonishingly high. They simply don't want to promote drinking.

That is what I figured as well.

I wasn't saying it was evil at all. It's good business. If people really need to know they time, they will have a watch... Or look at their phone. I was just using it as an example.

What? A lot absolutely do at the front of the store. Bigger stores won’t because they’d have to put clocks everywhere.

Casinos specifically don’t so people stay longer. Also why they don’t have windows.

Are there really eyes on everyone in the casino at all times?

In the casino yeah, other parts of the property not as much as you would think.

Depends on what property. I have worked at off strip and on strip properties (not as a dealer). They pool the tips together and divide out after shifts. So the crew working the weekend night shifts at places like the Wynn are making good money. Have some friends that are dealers and some make good money, others not so much.

But gambling is OK in their book? As much as I'd like to believe the NAs care about alcoholism, they're still charging $10/beer at the Seminole in Tampa. What does that tell you?

We must know the same people. What’s really strange is these people that “always wins” never have money.

Another way Casinos work is the restaraunts, high end shopping, luxury rooms and penthouses....comps, shows and sporting events, concerts.......everything is shiney and makes people feel important.....gives them confindence....

If a casino makes you feel like you're a balla, then you'll act like a balla....thats how they get you.....

Casino's attract dumb poor people......they also attract dumb rich people....best of both worlds

The Indian casino on Hwy 167 north of Pineville does. Slots are tighter than a new born a-hole.

Not sure if this is what you’re looking for, but have knowledge that during Katrina Harrahs couldn’t get all of the money and chips out in time. Once they knew it would be a base for law enforcement and others they changed the hallway door signs of important rooms. Areas such as the chip room were changed to nondescript rooms until they could get the valuables out.

They also make a shite ton from their resort features. Everything a slightly over priced but I guess people are ok with it bc they come here expecting to spend money.
