I’m not from Louisiana so I have no comment on Latoya or whatever local persons you are referencing, I don’t have any “liberal heroes” but this is a good insight into your mindset.
Loosely following the news it seems like most places (even NY and CA) are starting to open up. The issue of opening up became politicized so of course decisions split down party lines, that’s our country’s stupid politics, no defense of that.

So a respiratory virus spread by droplets can't spread if you aren't producing droplets. Coughing, sneezing, etc.
Smart people knew this long ago.
It makes no sense that a person without symptoms can spread a virus.
I'll repeat what I have said since February:
Wash your hands, stop touching your face. If you are sick, stay home. This is enough to protect you from Corona and all kinds of disgusting stuff.

And for God's sake, protect our nursing home residents. That has been the biggest fck up in this whole thing, especially with that the brain trust in New York did.
There are a few posters in this thread who would defend those politicians though.

Yes. We have long known who the most vulnerable are.
Locking down health populations and healthy people running around in filthy masks to protect from a virus is bloodletting level stupid.
