Hey Nurse...hope you're doing well! If I win the lottery....I think I'm buying in the neighborhood leading into the Biltmore....hmmm or Scottsdale
I'll want good neighbors..you and B please accept my gift

I totally understand how you feel. With all the stuff going on with my father's ongoing worsening mental illness and my family ...my other sibling was in California and not in a position to really help. I realized he couldn't be there or help financially and was ok with that. But the one thing I asked him to do was at least step up and call them more frequently so he could at least be there for them emotionally.
He seldom calls them. While making sure my dad and my family are ok out here falls pretty much 100% all on my shoulders.
I fantasize all the time about how much easier things would be if I could just magically win the lottery. I'm sure you have had that fantasy in your mind as well.
I hope the load gets lighter for you my friend
Thanks, I totally wouldn't feel like I do if my brother wasn't just 15 miles away but he is. Last sunday him and his wife came by my house. His wife had to offer him up to help and to give me some relief he never offered. Never called all week to find out how Dad was doing. I called him today to ask him something at 1pm. Called his house and cell phone no answer. I know why there was no answer. They were out riding their Harley and wouldn't answer. He called at 6pm asking what I wanted, not once did he ask how Dad was. I could force the issue and tell him straight up I need help and a break. The point is I shouldn't have to. My brother is a toxic person and complains about everything. How will he react if I force him to help? How will he react if he has to get up just when he is getting to sleep and change bedding just like I just had to do. As much as I need a break i don't want to expose my dad to his bitching and complaining.
yeah I been trying to win the lottery, ppl like us don't win. But If I did I would for sure take care of my brother. I would send him a brand new straight off the press, framed in glass $1 bill.

Mine didn’t. Some of my friends did, but only one that really surprised me.
My family grew closer together, then closer with me once I was back on track. I couldn’t, or wouldn’t have had the desire to, without their continued love and support.
Boundaries were drawn though, but only because they had to be.
