Friend just proposed to girl after 2 months

My buddy just proposed to a chick he met at a bar after seeing her for like two months.. maybe less. I've only met the chick twice and was completely taken a back upon hearing the news. I'm happy for him as long as he's happy, but this guy is not the type to fall hard for a chick. Just seems strange.
Damn man it's crazy when life is happening right before your eyes and all your good friends you used to get shite faced with are getting engaged and settling down...

6 weeks after I met my wife I proposed. That was 1983. Still happily married today.

I met my wife the Saturday night the week before the Super Bowl in 2010. I told her I was a Saints fan and she said she was a Colts fan. We swapped numbers and said goodbye.
I took her out to eat one night the following week and invited her over to watch the game that weekend.
I decided I wanted to marry her that Sunday.
We celebrate our 11th anniversary next year.
ETA: She's a huge Saints fan now.
