depends on how old the building is honestly. If it's a newer school odds are theyre pretty safe there. If its an older building and you have a space in your house you know is safe than that could possibly be safer.

Generally or for you personally?

As a general rule I believe kids are safer at a school than going home to trailers or going home when the parents aren't home and they are unsupervised and may not take shelter when they should, etc.

For me personally? When I know I'm going to be responsible and keep my kids safe? I haven't been put in that position yet but I'd prolly want them with me

Peoria is potentially gonna be wrecked. I have work acquaintances there. i emailed them to make sure they are ok.
