Isn't it obvious?

The true story is that when I registered I didn't have anything in mind. I panicked and this is what popped into my head. Don't tell anyone, though. K?

I had been a lurker forever, and I was buzzed listening to Solid Gold Saturday Night. For some reason I thought it was classic gold. Rushed to finally make an account. Realized after I did it that it was Solid Gold.

During the ‘rona, all of those asinine commercials kept saying “during these unprecedented times…” I saw a viral tweet at the time that simply said “I miss precedented times”. Gave me a good laugh and I thought it seemed pretty relatable at the time, so here we are.

Was “grim milestone” taken already?

No I did not misspell tail, it is a play on words referring to the narrative format for posting here.

I am old and a digital moron but hope to one day be able to learn how to post with pics and include links.

I worked in retail through college and had a stretch where light skinned black women were aggressively pursuing me. It happened so often my manager coined the name red bone bandit. Whenever a light skinned lady would come in he'd send me to chat them up and say the bandit strikes again when I made a sale. Just kinda stuck.

It was the name of a local BBS from back in the 2400 baud dial up days. Had my first football argument on that site. Good times.

MSU BullDog alumni, from Meridian, when I came here. I eventually retired and moved back to my hometown of Clinton, so the name isn't accurate now.

It’s on his headstone.
“Call Me Trim Tab.”
~ R. Buckminster Fuller
quote:

Something hit me very hard once, thinking about what one little man could do. Think of the Queen Mary — the whole ship goes by and then comes the rudder. And there's a tiny thing at the edge of the rudder called a trimtab. It's a miniature rudder. Just moving the little trim tab builds a low pressure that pulls the rudder around. Takes almost no effort at all. So I said that the little individual can be a trimtab. Society thinks it's going right by you, that it's left you altogether. But if you're doing dynamic things mentally, the fact is that you can just put your foot out like that and the whole big ship of state is going to go. So I said, call me Trimtab.

You see the hood's been good to me
Ever since I was a lower-case G
But now I'm a big G
The girls see I got the money
Hundred-dollar bills y'all

If you were from where I'm from then you would know
That I gotta get mine in a big black truck
You can get yours in a '64

Whatever it is, the party's underway
So tip up your cup
And throw your hands up
And let me hear the party say

I'm kinda buzzed
And it's all because
(This is how we do it)
South Central does it like nobody does
(This is how we do it)
To all my neighbors
You got much flavor
(This is how we do it)
Let's flip the track
Bring the old school back
(This is how we do it)

Went to Toledo Bend with some coworkers. Perch jerking and rolling over stumps was new to me as I mainly fish inshore/offshore as a owner of a camp along the coast. Well, I got labeled strike indicator when discussing the types of popping corks on the market. Good times
