Our women have to wear that shite in their country and go by their rules. It should go both ways for them here. Why do we constantly cater to everybody that gets butt hurt. Fricken Pussy Democrat socialist nation.

If I had gone to this town during Labor Day weekend for vacation, I'd still want to watch the LSU/Wisconsin game. If I decided to wear some of those crazy purple and gold pants to the local pub with a few Mardi Gras beads to go along with the outfit, would that lead to a fine (or worse)?

Bunch of freedom-hating Americans in here
Posted on 8/30/16 at 11:17 am to lsu2006
its really sad how much the typical American hates freedom these days

This thread has me thinking that maybe Donald Trump has a shot after all.

You need to understand Islam before you start boasting about how America has it figured out
We don't....we are naive brother....
Muslims want to change the world
Western Muslims are luke warm followers
That's the part you don't get...

I am confused by what you're saying
France and England welcomed Muslims in and they are vastly changing the culture there...

clothing. Are we being forced to wear what the government says now? ETA, Doesnt sharia law dictate dress as well. Or we could just be like the north koreans
You're line of thinking is quite simple and on the surface commonsensical; however, most Muslims do not believe in adjusting to customs and norms of the "foreign" society they now reside in -- in fact, they tend to impose their beliefs and values onto indigenous individuals. Hence, the Muslim man who stabbed the woman and her three daughters who were bikini clad on the French beach. Who would you rather dictating acceptable atire in America? The local governments or the Muslim clerics? BTW, what about town ordinances that ban sagging pants, is that an infringement too?

Countless millions of Muslims have assimilated into American culture and life while still maintaining their right to freely practice their religion.

Uhhh yea. Patently unconstitutional.

Neither. I'm wearing whatever the frick I want and you can take your big government liberal clothing laws and shove them up your arse.

That's why we live in nomadic groups, following the buffalo herds for food and decorating ourselves with feathers. Right?

They shouldn't be worried about ticky-tacky bullshite like what people wear to the beach and instead focus on violent crime, people who refuse to work, rape, freedom of religion, freedom of expression, and the rights of women. Harping on the way they dress for a day in the sun just plays into the radical's hands.
Absolutely. This is a misguided law rooted in "too little, too late."
While, on the surface, this ordinance looks like a victory for western civilization, it actually is a slide backwards.
People are being told what they can and can't wear to the beach. That's messed up, and is most decidedly not freedom in my book.
This is the kind of stuff that radical Islamists use as propaganda and evidence that their religion is being oppressed by the infidels. In this case, they'd actually be correct.
