We have already heard of looting and stolen boats from flood victims. If you hear of any of these things happening in your area post it in this thread.

yep, these situations bring out the best in most people. But, they also bring out the worst in some.

Had a few people riding around my neighborhood last night drinking wine and getting children drunk. With the arrest authority given to our citizen watch, we were able to aprehend the perps, confiscate their truck, and detain the kids until child protective services came. I think they'd had 3 bottles of merlot, or Chablis, on their persons at the time of the arrest.

Unknown. I logged the bottles into evidence and turned them over to the sherrif's dept. They're going to run UPC codes and see if matched any of the perps credit card numbers.

If not, well.....the DA is going to have a field day.

Not really sCary when you think about the target rich environment for thieves and looters with lots of displaced homeowners. A car joyriding around in these conditions is a huge red flag.

As long as the CSG members on shift have been properly trained and have backing from LE it's a very important firewall for many masterplanned communities.

I see The Purge with "badges".

Or Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday shooting Cowboys in the face in brothels.

A watch is one thing, giving arrest authority to a watch. The ability to seize cars and property, that is scary. I'm assuming he and his posse pulled guns on these guys to get them to stop as well.

Slippery slope. I know this is only done in HOA communities in semi-rural areas but it's a odd thing.

Interesting thought, and not that I disagree.

I have a friend with a couple flatbed trucks, with forklifts attached, that lives in the Alex area. We were discussing him loading them with building materials. But the deal is, how much money is worth the time to purchase, transport, sell, risk of equipment, tax laws etc, to make it worth it at all.

A "decent" number would probably be considered "gouging" by some.

Well our friends here didn't waste much time. Pathetic.

Doubtful... most likely Boones Farm, Strawberry Hill, or Night Train.
