Man, I never watch the weather channel, but I forget the fear porn the weather channel is when it comes to anything, much less a hurricane.

Horrible. I never will watch it unless I’m free and clear of any possible serious effects.

Fish blob is going to rain all its colors out on the coast and then disappear, cooling the waters and crushing Francine’s big entrance.

About 30 mph less than it was earlier. Was seeing gust of 70 on this same graphic. I don't know what changed

That graphic is back up to 70mph. I think it was having issues earlier cause I couldn’t find anywhere in SELA with > 40mph gusts

Also interesting is how calm it gets at 10pm then wind increases after. Forecasting the eye to go over Br

that brings up a good point for duke, slack, et al. if this isn't in fact a part of Francine, can it negatively affect Francine in terms of hogging precipitable water, etc?

I watched it jump from 30 to 60+ for new orleans during one refresh so I definitely think there were issues for a bit

Sorry and TIA

They’re all related. Most of that “blob” spun out of Francine starting about 7-8pm yesterday.
Which begs the question, if a person's home receives damage from the spun-off "blob" will his homeowner's hurricane deductible apply?

Does anyone have a link to the detailed noaa storm surge map for Francine?

I’m on a work comp and can’t find it. Have it bookmarked at home. Thank you!
