If the declining oil field has not killed it this surely will.

I don’t want anybody to suffer this crap but I live west of LC so selfishly those runs help me. Daughter in BR so I’m probably going to have stuff to worry about regardless.

Imma make a bold prediction and say this ticks way more east once it intensifies.

EYES ON FRANCINE: Tropical Storm Francine still has winds of 65 mph this evening; the center is about 425 miles south/southwest of Cameron, LA. The storm is moving to the north/northwest at 7 mph.

Landfall will likely come Wednesday afternoon on the Louisiana coast as a category two hurricane with winds of 100 mph.

*Francine will bring lots of rain to the Deep South Wednesday and Thursday. Highest flood potential will be near the Gulf Coast (3-5 inches possible); inland areas of MS/AL should see 1-3 inches.

*For the Alabama Gulf Coast, gradient winds could gust to 50-60 mph late Wednesday and Wednesday night. The weather will improve along the immediate coast Thursday with rain ending and diminishing winds.

*Gradient winds could gust to 30 mph over West Alabama Wednesday night and Thursday as Francine passes to the west.

*A few isolated tornadoes are possible over AL/MS Wednesday night and Thursday.

And, remember, when it comes to tropical weather, if you are looking at an old forecast, you are looking at a bad forecast. Be watching for updates and any potential changes as the system moves northward in the Gulf.

Would be quite unlikely at this point. Anything east of Morgan City would be pretty surprising.

Agree. The most recent advisory was showing landfall at the Cameron/Vermillion line. East of Morgan City is 100 miles from there.

Just filled up 22 gallons and already had 12 in my boat...

We lost power for three days with Gustov, not taking any chances...

Remember the Katrina forecast? It jumped from the Florida panhandle to New Orleans in one update.
