Would Biloxi be a bad place to ride this out compared to the North shore? Have a new born baby and need power

Morgan City probably has more standby whole-home generators per capita than any city in the country.

After Andrew they were basically a standard option on any remodel. There are so many that there is currently a moratorium on installing anymore on the city natural gas supply. To install one today you have to install your own gas tank - no bullshite.

With all due respect, it’s nearly impossible to predict power outages before the storm

had no power for a little over 2 weeks with Gustav. Was living off Hoo Shoo Too at the time

I was in my last semester at LSU when Gustav hit and Baton Rouge looked like a bomb went off. The tree damage was the worst I’ve ever seen.

Evacuating 20 miles away from home needs to be on FY2025 bingo card

I'm north of Biloxi and I am expecting a bit more than what is expected right now...but I would choose Mobile over Biloxi

BR is going to wish it on Lake Charles, Lafayette and New Orleans when those pussies are 150 miles inland.

Same. I was working downtown at the time and seeing all the trees down around the capital and Spanish town was wild! Hopefully we don’t have a repeat

I’m from Franklin and would probably have stayed.
In Broussard now and not going anywhere.

Worst case I go to my office which is a giant cement and steel building.

Yeah we had 2 little kids and couldn't leave the neighborhood for a few days via vehicle due to downed trees and power lines.
