Yeah the silver lining appears to be this storm won’t likely be strengthening into landfall like the last few.

Hopefully it’s a Hurricane Lili death at landfall.

Yeah it wont do much for the surge and the coast, and inland wont be fun but its not going to be some monster Cat 3, run for your life type shite

Lili still packed a punch

But that was a weakening cat 4

This will be a weakening 2 or maybe low end 3

Just to reiterate

Also don't forget to reach out to your elderly/disabled family & neighbors that may be in the path to see if they need any help

Yeah I’m more so talking about the way it relatively fell apart at landfall. I think it lost like 50mph of wind speed in like 12 hours or something like that.

Based on my very amateur eyes looking at the satellit seems Francine might be moving due north now.

Lilly peeled the shingles off of my house, and I am about 70 miles from the coast.

Yep. I don’t know. I worked from home today and went around town for awhile earlier. It’s a strange vibe in the air. I’m usually very dismissive of these storms and try to remain optimistic. I have a bad feeling about this one.

Windshield wiper in effect.

Wait until 10p when it goes back and sleep well. Then get wrecked when you wake up to something completely different.

Yay hurricane season!

Seems like there is a pretty good chance with that last update that Nola Metro/Jeff Parish doesn't even lose power?, no?

In plaquemines we always lose power from some Texas plant baw wrapping his f-150 with wheel spacers around a telephone pole on a weekly basis so we are used to this by now
