It’s funny until you realize how stupid most people are. It’s still funny, but in a darker way

Another tip: get a can that has 10ga on the side instead of 5ga. You’ll be able to fill your generator up twice as many times.
But if you only put 5 gallons into the 10 gallon can, you'll save money.

People living in RVs and Boathouse’s I would assume and not physical property.
I could be wrong.

Always leave room to siphon from your neighbors boat

I would assume they want the RVs and boats off the island to minimize the amount of debris being slammed into people's camps/houses when the storm surge is coming in and out

i like to keep a three gallon and five gallon container in case i ever have to come up with exactly four gallons in order to save the day from a terrorist's riddle.

we had hurricane force gusts in the BR area during the spring severe weather earlier this year
and well, it knocked power out on a large percentage of the area
Look no further than Beryl and Houston to see how "just a Cat 1" can still screw shite up royally. I hope that's not the case.

PREPARE FOR A CATEGORY 2+ HURRICANE FRANCINE across southern Louisiana! The latest HAFS-A high-resolution model shows a strong likely cat 2 hurricane with 969 mb pressure approaching south-central Louisiana Wednesday afternoon. This model also shows a slight tick to the east which would bring the dangerous storm surge a little east of Cameron Parish, with the dirty side of the hurricane just hammering Grand Isle area. Meanwhile, tornado producing supercells are likely in the outer bands, impacting New Orleans, Baton Rouge areas through southern Mississippi, pushing inland toward Memphis on Thursday. We still have many surprises in store for us with Hurricane #Francine, so stay tuned for additional updates. The latest Air Force recon air craft dropsonde just sampled a 996 mb central pressure, so TS Francine is organizing ahead of schedule. Stay tuned!

Is Reed fearporning us or does it actually have a shot at getting to a cat 2?

Legitimate question I have for rds...
IF it does organize and strengthen a lot more and faster than expected, is it possible for it to wall itself off and not feel the shear as much when it nears Louisiana?

that depends on how much you are running your AC and if you drive a truck with a V8

Anyone wanting satellite loops, the NOAA site is working a lot better than Tropical Tidbits right now.

Still some glitchiness, but not as bad.

I believe the HMON and HWRF both have it getting close to a 3. Others have it getting to a weak 2 before weaking at landfall.
