I think she's waist deep in that quagmire in NBR. That bunch of business/political cronies has been together a long time...NOTHING gets done up there w/o greasing the right gears and she's been involved/connected to them at the local and state levels for some time !

Nah. There's two groups. One with people like Broome, Tara Wicker, the late Ronnie Edwards, etc.
The other is the Chauna's, C. Denise's and Gary Chamber's...
The issue is the former turns their heads to the latter with their shenanigans.

You honestly think there's no collusion between those camps behind closed doors?
I can see SWB encouraging that group to stir the pot with outlandish rhetoric to achieve her goals.

One of their chief anchors is on the COA board
As mentioned, I have no inside scoop and was just stating what a few of my old buddies that worked for WBRZ back in the day said about investigative reports from competing local stations.
Regardless, here is the list of current COA Board Members and don't recognize anyone from the news business.
EBR COA Board Members
Maybe Donna Britt was at one time?

I don't think so...it appears to me they are ALL in league together. Just because some of them say/do outrageous/moronic things, their actions are either quickly endorsed or are tacitly "over-looked". The seemingly behind the scenes "business/money operatives" are the ones which move the elected "leaders" like so many puppets on a string. Mayor broome needs the dem vote as much as she is beholden to her task masters !

Diane Deaton was on the board until recently. They did a revamp in the last few months with the continued scrutiny.

Have to wonder how any sane person would agree to be on that board ? lol
You would think any "new" board members would require a house cleaning from the top down, BEFORE signing on to that clown show/nest of idiots !

I don't think you understand how a Board of Directors work.

With or without an advisory panel?

Now that they got rid of that whitey I'd think WAFB would start reporting on COA soon... Silly me, that's never going to happen.
Honestly, I just want to see more Vowell so I can fap to the 6 o'clock news and have a reason to watch.

You wanted a corrupt board to oust corrupt leadership so that a new board could come in with a clean slate.

No...never said/implied that !
What I and and other sane people want is for the governors office of elder affairs { the agency which grants the franchises to every council on aging, in the state of La}, to fully investigate EVERYTHING about the crap-show which IS the EBRCOA, yank the franchise...effectively firing all members of the overpaid/criminal administration and appoint new leadership, responsible/competent enough to oversee the agency ! The board of directors acts mostly as a figure head to the agency and is not involced in the day to day activities...although in this case, perhaps asking a few questions, may have helped...lol

Got it. I thought you were referring to the EBRCOA board itself...not the Governor's Office of Elderly Affairs.

Member C. Denise Marcelle, who is new, said it cost about $2,600 for four employees to go. She said this story is "not news worthy" because she says trips occur every year,
Marcelle is lying and she's a complete racist idiot.
And yet, Tasha Clark still has her job when she should be in jail.
