Found a lost pup..

UPDATED: Dog returned to owner..
Someone called after a friend saw it on the BR Lost Pet Facebook page.
Turns out his name is Jake. 8 years old. Lost his eye to a rattlesnake in Texas.

Shot in the dark, but the OT sometimes comes through.
I live in Baton Rouge. Kenilworth area. A wiemaraner has been sitting on my front porch all day. I took him up to the vet and he doesn't have a chip. No collar, either. But he does sit, shake, etc., so he belongs to someone.
I would post a pic, but all you need to know is he's gray with one eye. The other one is missing and has been sewn shut.
If anyone knows anything, I'll try to get him back home. I posted it on the Lost Dogs of BR Facebook page and threw some signs up around the neighborhood.

Try checking with all the vets in your area. If he's had eye surgery, some vet has to know him/his owner.

Yeah I called my vet and nothing, then went to the vet up the street and nothing. Going to call around to some more. I actually see a couple walking a weimaraner every night but I don't know where they live. Could well be there's though. I asked some neighbors and they hadn't see him before.
I'll get to the bottom of this. My other three dogs are already curious if he's a permanent resident now...
