An anonymous source at the base told Popular Military that sixty four soldiers from the 3-15 Infantry Battalion and the 1-30 Infantry Battalion are involved. It is not clear how many of them have been arrested. The source said the soldier at the top of the drug ring had ties to a known drug cartel.

The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office arrested Pvt. First Class Mario Figueroa on drug trafficking charges, according to Maj. Jeff Hein of the LCSO Drug Task Force. The arrest was the result of a 90-day investigation by LCSO, Fort Stewart’s Criminal Investigation Division and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency.

Then this morning, whether by design or sadistic piece of irony, the CSM congratulated the BN for being mostly good the past weekend despite having a DUI. Then when they returned to the barracks, every cop in a 20 mile radius showed up and raided the COFs and the barracks.

Groups of Soldiers were taken away in white vans. The lucky ones returned a couple hours later, the unlucky ones….well they haven’t been seen. This includes “Mr. Montana” aka PFC Mario Figueroa as he and dozens of Soldiers and NCOs have been arrested, mostly out of C Co.
As of last count it was at 21 and climbing. Another 60 have been detained for questioning. Two working dogs needed oxygen for the inhaling too much blow. There is even word among the untainted that one or two senior leaders in the BN may get matching bracelets here soon.

Also, one other thing. The Army constantly talks shite about Marines and how stupid they are, when the Army has quite possibly the dumbest, most undisciplined bunch of bags-of-asses out of ANY branch.

Damn it TigerFan I was going to post that gif. I agree 100%. I saw this first hand in Iraq. Noise discipline, light discipline? What the hell is that?

Not surprising with the amount of criminal offenders that are given the choice between jail or the military. In my experience you were either their by choice and a good person, there by option and learned your lesson and trying to live better or a total POS.

Suddenly a whole slew of O-3's and above became nonpromotable, and a bunch of 1SG's and CSM's are looking at a sooner than planned retirement ceremony.

I hear people say this all the time... but in my 8 years I never met anyone that was given this choice. Actually, most branches are pretty strict about taking people with criminal backgrounds. The jail or military thing might have been true back in the day... but they are way more concerned about image now.
