Yes, it was. I believe that Badfinger was signed by the Beatles’ Apple records and had a hand in producing their music. I think the song itself was written by McCartney.

Well, I suppose you're technically half right
It is a county outside of Atlanta - about 315 miles outside.
It's like 25% black though
Last time I was there in January of 1987, blacks weren't allowed to purchase property or live there. I was a part of a civil rights walk and the local residents lined the roadway, many in klan robes, and shouted race stuff at us. This little tidbit from Wikipedia was certainly in line with my experience.

No, Afreaux... this is a Forsyth County in North Carolina. If you look the paper is the Winston-Salem Journal. Kernersville is a small town there.
