Broward County jail is no joke, he won't be having too much fun if he isn't segregated.

who is to say he doesn't go charging in and get blown away? the problem is he was a cop. probably should have had a desk job instead of being security.

Put him in the same cell as the shooter. They can be friends.

He deserves a punishment, but these charges seem a bit much. Who else is going to get charged? The school was just as liable as well as others. Iirc, he was told to stand down.

Then he would have died a hero’s death.
Now he gets to enjoy a cowards life.
But even outgunned a 20 year police veteran should be able to slow down an untrained 17 year old kid.

I wonder if this is the real kicker here.

Sounds like the Perjury charge might be the one that sticks, if true. Negligence in a live fire events is going to be a tough one to prove, as there are many variables. Guy should have been fired, then probably some civil actions, but if there’s some perjury, then it does change things...

This is fricked up. His (lack of) actions shouldn't carry criminal charges.

If police don't have a duty to protect, then police don't have the right to ask for identification.
it should either be both or none, but it can't be one or the other.

But he isnt the villain
Yes he is. Along with the sheriff, the school administrators, the mayor and anyone else of authority in Broward county who is responsible for the policies that hid students criminal behavior from scrutiny. Oh and don't forget the kid's psychologist who deserves to be hung by the neck until dead.

I feel the same way, Ben.
If they are going to make this guy the scapegoat, they picked the guy last in line.
They knew the kid was a threat, but did nothing for years, so that way their discipline numbers would go down (see the Obama administration legislation that started this PC crap).
There are so many people to blame here, but the MSM will tell you it is really the NRA, not the Democrats in charge of this at every level down there.

Y'all are retarded. The only criminal is the one who pulled the trigger.
The shortcomings in the local administration ate infuriating, but not criminal.

Peterson isn’t The villain.
But he’s a villain. Had he followed SOP death count is prolly cut In half.

Maybe. Hell, even likely but that is impossible to prove.

Is he criminally negligent though? Being terrible at your job is one thing, but facing jail time over it is quite another.
The perjury is a different animal altogether.

bullshite. they're responsible just as much as the little criminal that pulled the trigger. If you can't see that then you don't need to call anyone retarded.
