I have a 2023 Black Widow F-150 with the 3.5 eco boost. It has 78k miles on it and a few upgrades. GIBSON exhaust and resonator delete, with cold air intake and atmosphere open waste gate with a program. I call it my little angry motor . She has 560 to wheels. On 35 with a 6" lift. This truck is amazing No issues and I pull a lot with it. Don't over look this engine Ford has mastered it on this 3rd generation engine. If you keep the maintenance this engine will last 250 to 300k miles. Love the wine and the pop off of the turbos. She Shits and Gets !

2022 Platinum Powerboost. 70,000 miles. I love it. It has tons of power and torque for towing and drives incredibly well. The Hybrid feature is actually really nice as well.

I have the 5.0L and simply wouldn't want the smaller V6 3.5L platform. Too many parts and complexity, more systems = more repairs.

I have a FIRST year 3.5 ecoboost, 2011 F150XLT 2wd that I'm about to turn 226K miles this week. No motor issues to date. I've changed power steering units and the lead frame in the transmission and spark plugs every 60-70k miles.

I have a 2021 xlt 4x4, 3.5 powerboost with 140k miles.

no issues whatsoever.

I changed the battery around 100k.

I drive 85% highway miles. Avg around 21 mpg.

truck has no trouble towing

i'm a Ford guy and have zero complaints with this setup.

How is the towing with the 3.5? Nothing crazy, occasional side by side or bay boat. Notice any major issues or lack of power when towing?

I tow a 24' boat without issue.

engine is smooth.

Previous truck had the 2.7 eco boost that towed the same boat without issue.

obviously the 3.5 has more power and is better suited for the job.

I pull a 20 phoenix boat every other weekend about 250 mile one way. That how far my lake louse is from my house. Power you don't have to worry about that. Even stock. I pull my boat around 77 to 80 all day long, No issues. Stopping is a different story. The truck is lighter than my old f-250 so it can push you sometimes. When I was building my house I trailered EVERYTHING there. I had a 28' bumper pull trailer, and had way more weight than that truck should pull . Like I said no issues in power. It amazing how much power that small motor has. I was not a fan when I BOUGHT IT. Because my previous trucks were 3/4 tons. but It surprised me a lot.

Are you happy with the sound of the gibson exhaust and resonator delete? I have 3.5 ecoboost and would like to add a little more deeper sound to it. But as someone else said in here i dont want it sounding like a go kart either. I dont even necessarily want it being loud per se. Just a little deeper would be nice. But I'm nervous to pull the trigger and not be happy with it.

2021 3.5 Powerboost. No engine problems. Has rear axel fail due to sheared bolt that was on a recall that the idiots at Ford never fixed until it failed.
