For wrestling fans: SJW attacks WWE (TLDR)

Why WWE needs quotas
LINK
"Old white guys who haven’t wrestled in the better part of a decade, such as Goldberg and Shane McMahon, are promoted as contemporary star attractions while promising black superstars such as Apollo Crews, Titus O’Neil and Darren Young languish on Superstars and Main Event."
"Similarly, last year Stephanie McMahon proclaimed that WWE would begin incorporating LGBTQIA+ representation into its storylines but we are yet to see it materialize. It’s not enough for WWE to just say it’s all about a #WomensEvolution or diversifying its talent pool: there needs to be an outside group holding WWE accountable to a meaningful and representative amount of minority wrestlers on its roster and that group has often been the WWE Universe. "
"Not only do these quotas need to take hold in the ring, they need to be representative of crew and creative members. Though with Linda McMahon’s appointment to the Trump administration and the subsequent firing of one of WWE’s only gay writers (who also happened to be anti-Trump), the outlook is bleak for diversity spearheaded by WWE alone."

Supporting the WWE May Mean Supporting a Trump Administration

But with Trump now elected, it’s time for fans to understand what that relationship means for us: that supporting WWE could mean tacit support of a Trump presidency.
Being a wrestling fan can be challenging for those with a social conscience. Pay-per-view buys over the years have helped fund such things as Vince’s 1994 steroid trial, the continued employment of abusers like Jerry Lawler, and the lack of opportunity for women and people of color. Now, supporting WWE might mean supporting a message embraced by white supremacists.
With the close ties between Trump and the McMahons, wrestling fans can’t be sure that the $9.99 they spend every month doesn’t go towards supporting Donald Trump’s agenda. So how can we direct our hard-earned dollars to a more worthy cause?
Erin Cline of the feminist wrestling podcast Not Your Demographic created a Twitter thread with suggestions on how to support wrestlers more directly. Buying merchandise and tickets to house shows is one option, as wrestlers get royalties and a percentage of the gate, but that can put a strain on your own purse strings. And, as one of the Rockettes told Marie Claire after news broke of the group performing at Trump’s inauguration, “Why would they want to pay $100+ for a ticket to support someone who doesn’t support all human rights? Women’s rights?” If you’re ready for more drastic measures, consider unsubscribing from the WWE Network, and supporting independent wrestling instead. While it’s admittedly a move I haven’t taken yet, money is a powerful tool. And as the WWE continues to grow, a strong independent scene is more and more important.
We can demand more transparency from Vince McMahon and others in management positions, and question the company’s relationship to the incoming President. We can speak out on social media about how our fave is most definitely problematic. We can never STFU about holding WWE accountable for its distasteful storylines and questionable business practices.
Just as we’ve protested and petitioned Donald Trump’s presidency, we can do the same against WWE’s involvement in it.

Someone needs to do something better in their life.

Let me break it down.
WWE does what they do to make money.
They put out wrestlers, and those wrestlers are tasked with being a draw.
If they don't draw, they don't get brought up, and the don't get kept.
It's not their fault most minority wrestlers don't draw.

She/He doesn't need to be sour. The New Day was your longest running tag team champions ever.

Guys like Young and Titus have been given every opportunity to succeed but haven't taken advantage of it. Crews is young and new and has been doing pretty well, in my opinion. He's had some title shots and is slowly working his way up the ladder. Just look at Xavier Woods -- when he first came to the main roster has was jobbing left and right. They gave him a new gimmick and he made the most of it and became a part of the longest-reigning tag team champs of all-time.

What makes rasslin any better than any other institution?
Employ lesser candidates and hurt your bottom line for the sake of "diversity".
It's like another hidden tax.

Apollo Crews can do some great stuff in the ring, but he's still inconsistent, sucks on the mic, and has very little charisma
Titus O'Neil is a disaster in the ring
Darren Young can be solid but he's just boring
R-Truth is funny and over as hell with the crowd
New Day killed it as tag champs

Vince, Kevin Dunn, and Michael PS Hayes are chuckling in Titan Tower at the notion.

Jesus...someone cares that the WWE is diverse?

crews has all the potential in the world but is green as can be and has no mic skills. The prime time players have been given chances to succeed and can't get over that's not all Wwes fault.
Love how this person chooses to ignore the new day and Sasha too who are arguably 2 of the most over acts in the company, the crusierweight champion is also a man of color.
I have a feeling if they do incorporate this bullshite in anyway it will be a joke, like r truth coming out and trying to be in a woman's match.
