Do you know if the VA pays for gym memberships? I know I could just simply call the VA but I really dislike using their call system, it's probably faster just asking on here.

I already have a gym membership but I'm thinking about changing gym's. so I was curious.

It would be through your medical insurance. I know medicare offers free gym memberships.

Yeah, it took me 6 months to get in to audiology. Bloodwork is about the only thing they get in a hurry about.

I haven't used it, but I think USAA has a gym membership benefit.

I believe it's a discounted rate at most of the larger national chain gyms.

I don't have private insurance. I can't afford it. I own a small business and the rates are outrageous with very high deducts. So if I have to go outside the VA I pay cash, it's cheaper.

Think they offer something through your local YMCA, did that for a while in Birmingham where you get a free membership as long as you go a certain number of times per month.

try the ID.me app. register your military veteran identification and then when you log into the ID.me app type in gyms and stuff should pop up. You can at least get a discount as a veteran

Are you in Arkansas? I was just reading different sites and sounds like VA isn't allowed to offer free gym memberships. However, several states have nonprofits that pay gym memberships for veterans. I'm not sure about Arkansas.
