I currently have two vehicles. A Scion XB and a 4Runner. Both have about 115k on them.
I bought my first new car (Nissan Sentra) in 1994. I sold it in 2012 and it had about 320k miles on it. When I sold it, it ran fine and everything on it worked. I stopped at a gas station and a guy said “hey you want to sell that to me”. I sold it for 1000 dollars.
My second new car (2004 Trailblazer) I sold when it had 325k on the odometer. Everything on it worked too. I’m going to buy that very car back because my son wants it. I think it’s currently got 360k on the odometer.

2011 chevy malibu. Purchased with cash in 2013 as the 2nd owner when it had about 8K miles, currently has about 85K miles. Aside from oil and tire changes, the only real maintenance has been a transmission flush a while back.

2002 Xterra. Around 225K miles so far.
I have an ‘06 that I bought new.
It’s never been my ‘main car’.
Used it for hunting and fishing trips, moving stuff, a little off-roading, stuff like that. And when my other car was in the shop.
It’s at 112K, never had an issue, and it runs as good as the day I bought it.
I think it could easily go another 5-10 years.

‘04 Yukon, 5.3L, 250,087mi, engine tick, leaks a bit of oil from the front of the engine, no smoke, drive it till it dies. Probably only worth about $2,500 now anyway.

It has a lot to do with the sample size and age but:

Dude I love all the new shite. I didn’t think I would and was the same way until I bought my 2017 F-250 loaded out. I put more shite in my 2022. Hell I got rid of my 2017 with 64k miles because of the bigger screen in the 2022’s

And they offered me a shite load of money for 17.

Our two current vehicles are a 2015 Ford Edge and a 2015 F150, with 128k miles and 108k miles respectively. No major repairs on either, but the Edge does go through front tires a bit quick for my liking. It also had a stupid design for the oil pan (plastic pan mated to aluminum engine block with no gasket... shocker it leaks
). There is no permanent fix for it, and it's $600 every time I need it resealed. That may be enough to get something different soon.
I'd feel good about either of these vehicles going another 100k plus though.

With good maintenance, you should be able to do that, no problem.
With my 2004 trailblazer (it was my wife’s) I asked her when it hit 225k what kind of car she wanted because I was going to buy her a new one. She said “I don’t want a new car, I want my trailblazer”. I ended up “refreshing” her trailblazer.
I changed all the parts that could possibly fail in the next 100k miles. I changed the fuel injectors, fuel pump and so on. I ordered new factory carpet for it, gutted the interior (cleaning all the plastic trim as we went) and replaced the carpet. I think that took all day. It was remarkably easy. I then sent it to an upholsterer to have Katzkin Leather seat covers and had new foam out on the seats. I think all together I spent about 5k doing that but when I got done, it was like a brand new vehicle. I think it took me 4 weekends to do that. I completed it and she wrecked it 4 days later. I got it fixed…
