Well, there were 2 innocent people that got gunned down because this a-hole wasn't raised right, so not really a win/win.

I doubt he was mentally ill. He had a concealed carry permit. It’s Honor Culture WiKi
If someone insults you you must respond violently to protect your reputation and defend your honor. Aka keeping it gangster. It’s not unique to African Americans, there have been many cultures in Europe and the American South. But unfortunately we aren’t allowed to say what the problem is because that’s racist. It wouldn’t be racist to say that Northern Ireland had a violent honor culture, but it’s racist to say black Americans do.

Do mass murders really have a culture though? And before you say this is gang related, it’s not. Gang members kill other gang members, there’s a motive involved. There’s literally no other motive other than pissed off because he was told an instruction. Are you suggesting rap/thug culture drove him to go on a random shooting spree and kill two people he had no prior knowing of, I think that’s a rather simplistic view of the situation.

I’m defending my assertion that he has a mental illness or 2. I’m not actually defending the persons actions. There’s a BIG difference between the two. I’m sad this guy was even born Jesus Christ!

We live in a culture where a lot of people are taught that violence is ok and a valid means of conflict resolution. It isn't always mental illness, unless you want to say our society is mentally ill.

Not every murderer has a mental illness, not everyone with mental problems murder people.

I guess we’ll have to wait and see his psychological autopsy results. If they even do one. Not saying that justifies his actions but it’s certainly a factor in some murder cases like this one.
