This is definitely true.
I personally prefer Uptown, but I'm in my 30s and married.
If I was single I would want to be Downtown.
He should go to Red Eye for sure. You will definitely have some getting laid opportunities.

A lot of these recs are good, but are totally from a local's perspective. Meaning when i have people coming in town asking for recs, there are places that I go strictly to hangout and chill and have some drinks. But aren't exactly places I would want to go if i were visiting from out of town.
I mean if you want to sit down with some guy you've never met and drink wine then i guess they're right up your alley.

Yeah pretty much. I do tend to think like a local and would rather die than go to some of those places (I like the Rusty Nail), those spots would be signficantly more fun for a tourist, no doubt.
Carousel bar in particular is awesome. Unique spot, upscale, crowded with "high class" (lol) bitches looking to bang.
Edit: Listen to Lester. Good advice, if that's what you're looking for.

I have been in the CBD for 5 years and lived in the quarter before that and can still have an absolute BLAST blowing out at Red Eye on a Saturday night.... if you aren't unfortunate looking and have half of a mouth piece, you aren't leaving that place without a good looking female on your arm unless you just get too sloppy drunk... Same with Gold Mine.
If you go out wanting to get laid, you almost have to do something like get overly drunk or something to not.

If I can go to one of these places to turn up to some horrible top 40s music before a late night at F&M's I would definitely be down for this.
