I put one single of the seat of my wife and I first date. It's been 17 years so I don't know if it's a good thing or not

Do NOT show up with flowers. If you really want to and you really, really hit it off on this date then maybe send them a couple of days after the date saying you had a good time. Maybe.

I had a second date with a very nice lady. Just so happened the second date was her birthday. So I had her a bouquet of her favorite flowers on the table.
