You mean suspends, not sure why you felt the need to beef up the thread title

Florida State University has indefinitely suspended its fraternities and sororities after the alcohol-related death of a freshman pledge and cocaine charges for a member of another fraternity.

University President John Thrasher made the announcement on Monday. Thrasher didn't say how long the suspensions will last.

Andrew Coffey, a pledge at Pi Kappa Phi, died Friday after he was found unresponsive following a party. The university suspended the fraternity following Coffey's death.

On Monday, 20-year-old Garrett John Marcy, a member of Phi Delta Theta, was charged with the sale and trafficking of cocaine.

If a non-Greek died in a dorm from alcohol poisoning or a drug overdose, would they shut the dorm down?

No..?

Do frats get targeting for being(or being perceived as) rich white kids just fricking around?

I'm not familiar at all with the relationship between Greek life and the schools. Asking because of the notion that liberal academia hates white dudes.

I'm not trying to start anything. Just wondering because I'm clueless to the dynamic between the two.

Are these fraternity houses being shut down? Residents kicked out? Or just functions and life as is inside the Greek house?

The point your making on shutting a dorm down is ludicrous.

Greek life is extra curricular. Living in a dorm is not.

Absolutely. The liberal dipshits who run universities absolutely hate Greeks. Especially in the south where the vast majority are fairly affluent conservatives.

Again, just like a death at a construction site, you shut the project down, do a review of safety procedure and then restart the project after you make some changes....

that is what happened at LSU, the is what is happening at FSU...
