Seems that schools are not taking care of these issues

quote:

John McCarthy, 31, was arrested after staff at Westwood Middle school reported to police that he had threatened them.
quote:

On Facebook, McCarthy posted the school had 24 hours to correct the issue before he quote " rained hell on them. "
quote:

McCarthy says that Thursday was the third time his son had been bullied by other students at the school, but nothing had been done about it.
quote:

According to the police report, McCarthy said, "If I have to come back here again, I will have to drown kids and kill adults."
quote:

He denied making the threats but told officers his son was almost drowned by other students and he only intended to protest.

Especially with the school doing nothing about it.

Maybe went slightly overboard with his language, but all in the defense of his child because the school won't do anything. And he gets arrested.

Well, drowning kids and killing adults is normally frowned upon but something should be done.

Unless he has priors or a history of making similar threats, I would hope that some common sense would prevail. Sounds like a guy trying to protect his child from bullying and a near drowning, and he's frustrated as hell that the school won't do anything.

Anger probably got the best of him and he said some things he shouldn't have, but we all do that sometimes.

I don't think they allow non staff members to use school facilities.

Some sort of insurance thing.

Exactly correct. Seems to me that the bullies in this case are being protected. Things sure are different these days.

doesn't mean anything. I grew up with a guy who had more gray hair than that in high school. Was completely gray by the time he married at 22.

Drowning as a punishment is reserved for witches and Anabaptists.
