'An' dude, the word is 'an'. I'd chalk it up to being a mistake but it's the second time you've done it in three posts.

I didn't make an argument. It's the law numbnuts. Try leaving your dog in the front yard in most American cities. All the emoticons in the world aren't going to keep your dog from being picked up or shot.

The dog was not in the front yard,AND you are assuming the officer aka detective announced his presence. As a Dog owner i would have behaved differently, so suck on a bag of dicks and quit defending this idiot. here is another emoticon for you

are and idiot and don't know animal behavior. A dog wagging his tail feels no threat and will respond accordingly. I assure you my German Shepard uses his hair on his back and tail to let me know if he feels threatened

At least do some cursory research before supplying generic uneducated answers.

Perhaps the most common misinterpretation of dogs is the myth that a dog wagging its tail is happy and friendly. While some wags are indeed associated with happiness, others can mean fear, insecurity, a social challenge or even a warning that if you approach, you are apt to be bitten.

You're the one claiming he had no right to even approach the front door. And if you'd read my posts you would see that I clearly stated that I didn't think he should have shot the dog. Take a second and breathe and quit posting like a menopausal woman.

I find that type of thought horrifying honestly

Horrifying?

I find it horrifying that people have animals that they can not or will not control. Now I know this was FLA, and I'm not sure of their laws but in Louisiana unless you animal is secured inside a fence with 4 sides of a reasonable height so as to contain it state law says it must on a leash secured or held by the person responsible for the animal, whether on your private property or on public grounds.

If a dog comes at me off a leash and I feel threatened I'm killing it. Period. I've done it before and will again. Once you've been attacked by one of these uncontrolled animals you will makes sure it never happens again I promise you.

Like wise I will not tolerate an aggressive dog of my own. If one of my dogs tried to attack me or any other person I'll kill it.

Too many people have animals that they are not prepared or capable of handling, and should not have. But they do because they think it's cool, and think it makes them look tough.

As far as this video goes noting about this video suggests that this dog was not intent on attacking that guy. Wagging tail in not a 100% positive sigh that the dog is happy. I've watched 3 or 4 time and I cant tell if his tail is wagging or just moving as he run forward. What I can tel is the dog's head is down and its ears are back and it's moving in a vary straight line to what it's fixed on. He had approx 3 seconds to decide what courses of action to take. His first move to retreat and create distance was a good choice but as you see the dog was so fast that he cold not get enough space to make a better determination of the dogs intent so he stopped the threat. He may face some penalty for this but not because he's guilty of anything. a good defense lawyer would eat this up. He'll likely face punishment because the city and department are lazy and will probably want to just settle this quickly.

I stand by my opinion and if it's horrifying to you that someone could disagree with you, well build a bridge and get over it.

Your opinion that you've already stated will always side with the cop?

That's a logical way to approach things.

I just wonder how cops in England handle all these deadly killing machines without the use of a gun

quote:

He had approx 3 seconds to decide what courses of action to take

And chose to fire a weapon on private property that he wasn't called to with citizens around while retreating. Sounds safe

The cop's actions were the most dangerous part of the video.

There's no need for a big capacity for thought here. It's pretty simple. The cop saw a threat and eliminated it. He thought he was about to die. Like I said before he saved at least one life that day and possibly a little child.

Man, I wish I hadn't watched that video. To others who love dogs who might be thinking about clicking that link, don't do it.
