Frick you

This is why no one can have a simple conversation with you.

You're too emotional and you can not handle people disagreeing with you.

You really need to learn some life skills. Maybe that will come when you grow up.

fricking asshat.

And I ain't watching that video again to determine if the dog was wagging his tail

the video was quick but just from my interaction with dogs/animals over the years it appeared to be just checking the cop out...happy to see someone more than anything

sorry

I have a hard time with people thinking that someone going on private property and shooting a dog because the dog scared them is justifiable

I find that type of thought horrifying honestly

That is what I thought when I saw it as well. I'm not a cop hater by any means(my husband used to be a cop, so we have a huge respect for cops)...but that guy clearly overreacted in that situation.

I think this is why I can see thousands of people die in a movie and just think "wow that's sad" and then see one dog die and I'm a crying mess saying "Nooooo, not the puppy!"

I hate cops more than most but control your fricking dog, lady. If your dog is so eager that he charges out the door at strangers, you need to be mindful of that when you open it to strangers. I'm sad that he was shot (the wagging tail really got to me) but hopefully this will serve as a lesson to irresponsible dog owners who can't control their pet.

oh so its cool to just shoot people's dogs because they startle you after you go on their property

that was truly pathetic of that cop

I guess you missed the attack? Cop did exactly what he should have done.

I didn't see an attack? Did you? I saw a dog run out of the door, the cop run and immediately start shooting?

The fact that the door was opened slowly and just a small amount at a time makes me believe she was being mindful of this. You can be mindful and they still charge out.

You can't hear the video so no way to hear if the women said anything to the cop through the door about her dog. My lab gets excited and barks when people are at the door, I usually tell them as I'm opening the door that he won't hurt them, he's just overly excited and tell them to wait a second while I make sure they don't charge out.

If it was a stranger the dog would still be alive...only reason it is dead is because the "stranger" was a cop

you never see the dogs face/mouth till he is dead on the ground so I don't know how you could have possibly seen that

I mean...the cop pulled his gun as soon as the dog came out of the door

he shot the dog because it was barking at him

If you really think that dog was not going to latch on, well

If we're playing hypothetical, what if the stranger was a child? I don't think the cop should have shot the dog. He's a grown man. The only point I was making is that the owner shares blame for not having control of her dog. The cop didn't jump the back fence. He knocked on the front door. If someone knocks on your front door, it's on you to restrain any animals before you open it.

That dog could've just run right by the cop and down the street for all we know. My neighbor's dog does that shite all the time.

the dog isn't even half way out the door and the cop already has his gun pulled

The point here is we have no clue if that dog was even going to attack anyone. The dog was simply shot for getting out of the house and the cop being a scared bitch.
