Gators do seem to be more aggressive in Florida than Louisiana. Maybe because there are more of them and they are active more of the year in Florida.

I didn't understand his reasoning behind going back to check if the gator was gone. Especially if he was gonna leave either way. Gator shouldve set up an ambush in the bushes

Walking through the brush after the second charge and it’s close quarters and you can’t see around the corner? Nope. He could have easily walked into that gator’s mouth

Florida gators have bigger medulla oblongatas.

they are faster than you think on land. Maybe there was a nest nearby. Females don't play when you get close to their nest.

I was thinking right after the chase began the victim pulled the old scary movie trip and fall and the gator would pounce. Looks like the dude baited gator with the fish and plain stupidity took over the rest of the video.

why did he go back and look for it? I have been chased like that as a kid on a golf course not quite as big as that-- in yes, Florida. i went up a palm tree like gilligan.

also I wonder if that was a female and her nest was near?

i agree. the chase would not have ended if it was hungry? also don't males get territorial when mating?

That moment in time where you pray to God that gators don't know how to climb trees
