Build subdivisions in swamps, get shocked when flooding happens.

Had 7.5" at Beau Chene after midnight, nice to live in a place where we have drainage

New Orleans isn’t flooded atm, just has a big chunk of critical electrical infrastructure out of commission in its central business and hospital districts

Try putting in a swimming pool in this rain. When we signed a contract in December they told us June for install, we thought great should be dry. When they told us in May they were running a month behind we thought well ok, at least this rain will be out of here. Here we are at the end of July and I've got a pool in the ground but can't concrete around it.
Last I checked we were at 70 inches of rain, 35 inches about average.
That's what she said.

7 inches of rain in 4 hours doesn’t help either.
