This is just irrelevant to most, and too many options out of MSY. Waste of a topic

I just looked up flights for last minute trips between ATL to BTR and ATL to MSY.
BTR was $1000 with only 6am options and a 6 hour layover in Texas both ways.
MSY was $400 with an available afternoon flight. Both one ways.
You're either searching for the day before Thanksgiving or don't know how to search for airline tickets.
Delta has all of their ATL-BTR nonstops for $519 one way for tomorrow.
ATL-MSY is $199
Google Flights ATL-BTR

Am I supposed to believe you aren’t full of shite when you sit here and try to tell me I have to go through Dallas or Houston to get to Atlanta from BR?
You’ve lost all credibility, of which you had little to begin with.
I don’t care if you want to drive to shitty arse New Orleans instead of BTR, but don’t spout off blatant lies about it.

You do realize carry ons aren’t the small backpack you stick under your seat?

And we say that there’s no signs of intelligent life in DC.
Folks from there not visiting BR would illustrate otherwise.
Not even this so alluring PR campaign at DCA could tempt them.

And I’m sure that significant public money was funneled to a most-favored PR agency to come up with that lãmo ad campaign.

They need to be promoting the flight in the opposite direction. Get people from BTR to go and visit DC to help make this flight work.

I've got a friend who recently started working with the FBI in DC and want to be able to see visit, but I can't imagine wanting to fly in those E75 Embraers for 3+ hour
Give me an E175 any day, for any duration, over the fleet of CRJ200 “Canadian Torture Tubes” that use to serve BTR.

It’s doable if you can expense hotel laundry.

BR has an airport???
Please don't let word get out. It's the greatest airport in the country just the way it is. I'm convinced it's the only airport in the country that you can arrive 30 minutes before departure and catch the flight. It is incredible.

I’ve flown to Denver, Albuquerque, Jacksonville, Tampa, all direct.
I'm not aware of a direct flight to JAX from MSY. I fly there often and always have to connect in ATL.

It's likely on Spirit or Southwest. I know Silver was flying MSY-FL for a while as well.

It’s more of a jobs program for NBR than anything.
I’ve lived in Baton Rouge for nearly two decades and fly out of BTR multiple times a year. The flights are practically always full. I’ve flown out of MSY exactly one time, after an organization purchased it for me being annoyingly penny wise and pound foolish. I love flying out of BTR, and anyone who talks shite about the airport has absolutely zero fricking idea what they’re talking about

I didn't need to wash clothes, and i had enough room in my carryon to fit two 6"x6"x6" boxes inside of it for the return trip home.
I"m packing for 7 days, not 14, and i'm not taking multiple pairs of shoes either. Pack smarter.
You can wear the same pair of jeans at night to go eat for multiple nights.
I'm a minimalist packer. I get that some people aren't, but it's not that hard to pack for 7 days in a simple carryon luggage, especially if wherever you're going it is hot. Hell the wife and i went to Cancun for 4 days and we fit all of our stuff in one carryon easily. Going somewhere cold is a different animal, and i could see where you might need more luggage if you are going on a 7 day trip.

Bingo.
We almost always travel with carry-ons only. We're checking bags for our next trip but that's because we need the bulky, warm clothes for Norway in February
