Been using Comfortis for my springer spaniels for 12 years or more now. Not cheap, but works flawlessly.

There is no reasn to give NexGard AND Sentinel. You should be giving NexGard and Interceptor- Sentinel is just Interceptor plus a fairly poor flea control. You are already getting better flea control with NexGard.

The package says that Sentinel is for heartworms and fleas.. like you said, i guess it’s poor flea control, so he also takes Nexgard for fleas.. that combo is what his vet has recommended and prescribed for years.. is it harmful to have basically double the flea protection ?

No they do flea control via different methods, but if the Interceptor is cheaper, I would go with that.

joespetmeds.com

Has name brands and generics, way cheaper than you can get here, no prescription needed. Have ordered twice now for dogs and cats, no issues.

Indonesia or Singapore, I think. Not that big a deal, imho, I think they primarily supply Australia.

Sounds like a good way to frick around and let your dog contract heartworms. Just pay the $60 or don’t be a dog owner

Ivermectin works perfectly fine. I know several people that have large groups of hunting hounds that use it. The only issue is dosing since it is not provided in a solution designed for animals as small as dogs. It is much easier to properly dose an 80+ pound dog accurately than a 13# lap dog. It is the same reason human meds often come in different concentrations for adults and children/babies.

Ivermectin for heartworms 1cc per 10lb

Reason # 458 of why you shouldn't get dosing information from randoms on the internet... 1cc of what exactly?

Assuming a 1% ivermectin solution for injection (one of the more commonly available forms of liquid ivermectin), this is WAY WAY too high of a dose.
