When are teens and young adults going to realize how friggin stupid these things look?

Just watching the Orange Bowl trophy presentation. I noticed that the players got those goofy looking snap-back hats while the coaches got normal hats.

Isn't it time for this fad to end?

The high schoolers here are all about some tube socks and short shorts. It's cyclic.

I don't personally like them, but they're helpful to me. Those hats let me know who not to bother interacting with.

Snapback hats

Very short round brim that is kept flat, not creased. Snapback is a style and brand name.

Ah. Those have been around for a while no? They look ugly as hell, and even more so keeping the stupid sticker on it.

Well it doesn't bother me that much.

Last I checked, this was the O-T board and full of lots of neat discussions.

Why does the thread bother you?

Asking a question on a discussion board isn't exactly starting a protest or setting up a petition page.

I'm not the one complaining? You can start as many shitty threads as you please. You are clearly bothered by the hats, hence your original post. I don't know why it bothers you though, because it shouldn't have any impact on your life whatsoever.

You are complaining about what teens and young adults wear. I wouldn't exactly be mirroring my life around teens and young adults, and you probably wore just as much stupid shite.

Gee, I don't know. Maybe I felt like asking a simple question on an OT board.

Didn't know my topic would be so much more trivial than Ariana Grande, declawing kittens, belly buttons, gummy penises, and Allstate commercials.

Maybe you're just a condescending douchebag. Yep, I'm going with that.

It amazes me how cyclical the hat trends are. When I was a kid, a SnapBack made by Logo 7 or something was the cheap shite...what us Little Leaguers got. There was absolutely nothing special about them, and the trend was to curve the shite out of the bill.

My dad was wearing flat bill at that time, and I kept thinking how silly it looked. It was an old-man style.

Now, snap backs are the 'in' thing, a bit pricey, and a standard of high quality by some brands.

I'm also hearing the 'dad caps' are a thing...think a curved bill, non-molded and more floppy cap, with a buckle to adjust. I could make a killing selling all of my old hats now. The 'dad hat' has always been around as far as I can remember.

The "dad hats" are overtaking flat bills on the east/west coast in trendy circles, just like looser fitting pants creeping in on the skinny trend. Agreed that style is cyclical. Makes me feel old that I remember the last cycle.
