Do they need a reason to pull you over based because no match showed in a facial recognition scan?

I kinda agree with you here but that's not really the argument here.

You CAN run license plates the SC has ruled. License plates themselves have NO expectation of privacy

It's rather comical, something is in plain view to literally EVERYONE and people think it's a top secret and they can shield themselves from it.

There's an easy way to find out. They could get the dashcam footage and audio.

She is the State Attorney from Orlando who is refusing to seek the Death Penalty in qualified cases. The Governor has removed all of the Death Penalty cases from her office.

This specifically involved cop killer Markeith Loyd, who made National news.

It's a big mess.

And they shouldn't be/aren't legal. But muh freedoms.

What shouldn't be legal? Dui checkpoints? I agree they should not be legal.
License plate "readers" are and should be legal. They don't run for expired tabs or plates. They look for "hot" stolen plates or fictitious plates. Many agencies don't have technology to constantly run plates via camera. It's not uncommon to run a lot of plates through your mobile system or dispatch.

I think he was talking about ghost plates. At least I hope he was.

I got pulled over once, and the cop told me i looked suspicious. He gave me a sobriety test and let me go. Who gives a frick? It happens sometimes.
Sounds like you are a good candidate for oppression.

I know nobody cares anymore, but the US Constitution disagrees with you.

Says he pulled her over bc her tag didn't come back.

She asks why he ran her tag
Many departments have a system on the roof of their units that constantly scan plates (tags).

He seemed very professional. I guess that's not the bait that you and the YouTube posters wanted though?

If you watch this version then you'll hear the CBS News reporter mention that her tags were registered and "confidential." That probably explains why Officer Low-on-totem-pole didn't get a hit when he ran her plates/tags from his unit computer.

It's the fourth amendment. I can't understand how anyone in this thread thinks it's ok to pull over someone for no reason at all. Her plate didn't come back? bullshite. Cop "thinks" the tint is too dark? bullshite.

Her plates didn't come up, and her windows are pretty dark.

I just don't get how people see racism in everything. It's bullshite. White people get pulled over for the exact same things. Same as Latinos and Asians.

How is running a plate a violation of the 4th amendment? Also if the plate doesn't give a return then that's PC for a stop. As long as the officer and/or dispatch acted in good faith
