Same logic?
Sure, but is it not pathetic that people have to think that way for both instances? The difference is we are paying for police to protect and serve. Snatching up and framing innocent people who fit a description is worse in my opinion, because of the trust and support we need to give police.

Did the burglars swear to uphold the law and constitution like these cops did?

Well now your back is going to hurt because you just pulled landscaping duty.

We should have enhanced penalties for law enforcement and public service criminals. (10x at least ). Pompous SOB.

Who gives a shite about swearing on something.
Let me fill you in on something... There's a lot of assholes out there, and they break the law... no matter their position.
Just like an employees at old folks homes who's job it is to take care of our elderly with compassion. Some of those employees beat the shite out of the old people.
Long story short, I don't put any more emphasis on someone who "swears" to do something and doesn't. It happens in every facet of life to some extent.

Did I miss the part where he did it because they were black? Seems like he's guilty of "framing men"...why are we turning this into a race thing (yet again)?

How do we know they weren’t guilty of something else? A crime is a crime

The framed men were known/convicted burglars, they probably didn't commit the burglaries they were arrested for in this instance. It wasn't difficult, because they matched the suspects and were local and had a history of the same crime.
They weren't "innocent" working/family/church men, in the grand scheme, but were wrongly charged.
3 years is light. He's incredibly fortunate he was able to plead guilty and just get that.

Apparently this guy broke in and hung pictures of him and his family everywhere. Sprinkle some crack on him, Johnson. Open and shut case.
