Fitness Board: Wrist pain that won't go away

I've been lifting for about 15 years and have never had an issue with wrist pain before. It's my right wrist. I began to notice it on bench press about two months ago and thought maybe I stretched a ligament or tore something. The doc has done several tests and found nothing. They even did a nuclear medicine test in which they injected a dye and watched it on a screen.
The doc thinks it's years of lifting causing tendinitis. I don't lift particularly heavy, with my heaviest sets in bench at 305. It's even gotten to where I have to reposition my right hand or make a fist to do push-ups. Anyone else deal with this? I've tried Aleve, ice, heat and none help that much.

Cut your fapping down to 3 times a day

take a break man.... take about a month off and start back with some light weight. your body is trying to tell you something. listen and don't try to be a "man" about it.
i worked in ortho for 6 years. if diagnostic testing isn't showing much.... then chill out for a while. repositioning your wrist is just going to cause other problems and you are going to seriously injure yourself. Take a break from all lifting. do some cardio or something, but no weight training. good luck.

Sucks. Just start doing fingertip pushups

before you go start seeing neuros... take a break and see if some time off helps.

Curious. I have some of the same issues. Really effects my heavy bench and I can't go heavy on barbell curls anymore at all.
Maybe stretch the wrist some before lifting.

I had the exact same problems. Doc said it was a scaphoid lunate tear. He could see space between the two bones in an x ray when my hand was positioned a certain way. He said the only way it could show in an x ray like that is if the tendon had torn or had been severely damaged.
I struggled to bench without pain when my wrist was flexed. I could do push-ups with my knuckles on the ground (hands in a fist).

Quit jacking off so much.

Take a break. Been there and a month off does wonders.
Also a lot of arm pain is due to an imbalance of flexors and extenders. If you only go hard core griping than you need to go hardcore extending. Putting a rubber band around my fingers and doing extension exercises cured this imbalance and took away the pain.

Def. But take longer than a month. I hear all the time take 12 weeks off. That's how long the body needs to heal.

There's a guy who posts here named volod.
He'll be able to give you some good advice, he's quite well-rounded, our renaissance man.
PS: Try using only your healthy hand to masturbate.

Meh, give it 6-8 weeks. Don't use it for any lifting and you should be good to go.
