If you fly regularly it's probably a quick business trip and you probably aren't leaving the US so it's all good and easy to find a Boeing flight.

As proud as I am of Boeing as a international icon of the US, I have and would fly on a major airline's Airbus products any day.

Lol.

Boeing is like the Toyota of the commercial aviation Industry. Their planes are built to last a long arse time and much more sturdy and tough. They hardly ever break down.

Airbus is not as stable as Boeing, they break down sometimes and they don't last as long as Boeing does. Oh and Airbus uses the side stick.

That's a rather bold and fully unsubstantiated assertion. What are you basing that off of? Airbus aircraft are built to the same standards as Boeing. If they weren't as 'sturdy' and 'tough' airlines wouldn't purchase them.

Hardly ever breakdown? How would you explain the reliability issues of the 787, specifically its composite laminate airframe?

Boeing makes great planes, so does Airbus, Embraer and Bombardier.

I will say I think the side stick is weird as hell to me having learned on Pipers, but pilots I've spoken to like it, even with the different control laws from Boeing/Embraer/Bombardier.

I've flown Boeings and Buses. They each have their pros and cons. Most of my time is Boeing but I did enjoy flying the bus. Side stick is very natural and I think they should have used one for the 787. I will gladly fly the 350 when they are delivered to my airline. The only people I know who really dislike the Airbus are the old codgers that have trouble using an Ipad.

Especially Delta and of course Southwest with an all 737 fleet.

I flew around 65,000 miles with Delta in 2015....they have a lot of Airbus products along with their fleet of Boeings and old MD's.

If you only fly either Boeing or Airbus, you aren't going far with any of the major carriers worldwide.

I fly AA mostly and I'm going to miss the MD80s. They have less than 100 in the fleet now.

I really enjoy the Embraer 170/175/190

They do but the 717 and 88s are their workhorses.

I love those....but within a decade, I think those are going to be retired and replaced with A320s.

I won't be flying much in 10 years hopefully.

I knew someone would say that. I like the MD if I'm in F.

The E190 is fine for Y under 1000 mi.

I know it's probably different for you guys all the way in the front.

Parker and Kirby have done a hell of a job going from old HP to leading AA. Their turn around in labor relations from the Crandall days is something that United could learn from.
