But it's about defeat v destroy. That's my central theme here.

And all of that data is out there. We have about 40 years worth of data on women in uniform. There is zero doubt that they've been a failure in even the support jobs. Not sure why anyone would think they'd be successful in the combat arms.
I got it. But now the argument can be:
We had this mountain of data.
Obama, Mabus, and others disregarded it.
Now we have additional data that is a direct result of their decision making.
Not only do you get to demonstrate the correctness of your position but you get to highlight the folly, the hubris, and the immorality of their decisions.
We do not send our people off so they can get buried. We send them off to make sure the enemy gets buried. Decisions that act counter to that are immoral, in addition to being misguided and negligent.
Have to take a break but I hope this stays on the front page for a while.

They will change their minds or at least abandon the fight. Look at how many of them went lukewarm to cold on Hillary after Wikileaks. Society has grown tired of slut walks, 3rd wave feminism, identity politics and so forth. Digging in their heels used to be part of their recipe for success. Now it's just helping to dig their own political graves.

Nah. frick these dudes. They just pissed that some women passed the same physical standards that they strapped to their own self identity and sense of masculinity.
Maybe they should just keep a tally of how many broads they've fricked and compare it to these women. (The women probably have fricked more broads than these swinging dicks)
You have a terribly low opinion of military men. I respect the opinions of civilians but many of them, like yours, are woefully uninformed. Maybe you should consider the fact that many of us base our opinions on real world experience.

As a former Co Cmdr in the 8th Marines is saddens me to see my sister battalion make this history. Obviously the people that made this decision have never served a day in the infantry, let alone Marine Corps infantry. Things would have had to changed dramatically for any WM to be able to functional effectively in a combat environment. War is not about political correctness. It is about "closing with and destroying the enemy through fire and maneuver.....".

New technology is being developed to make the physical toll easier on soldiers. So in the future the gap bewteen women and men might be closer. As it stands right now, give me a guy who I know can have my back. But it could change later.
You think there is new technology that will enable a female Marine to carry a combat load for days and weeks on end and be effective? How about new technology to grab a male Marine that outweighs her and fireman carry him out while keeping her weapon? Worse yet would you want to be the officer that has to deal with the added drama of a coed unit when the stress of a non-integrated unit is hard enough. You may want to stop arguing with the guys that actually know what they are talking about instead of lapping the PC gibberish spewed by the clueless.

They made it through boot camp and SOI not OCS, TBS nor IOC. The last of which makes Ranger School look like a vacation. So no they haven't.

Sorry, but I'm not risking the life of some mother's son to see how physically inferior soldiers act in combat.
glad i didn't suggest that.

You shouldn't. Their performance is irrelevant. It's a waste of time and money. Anywhere females go in the military their presence causes problems. At any one time over 10% of Women in the military, and that's a very conservative estimate, is unfit for duty due to pregnancy. When over 10% of an entire demographic is unable to do their job then it's time to cut the entire demographic loose of nothing else than financial responsibility.
Not saying you are wrong, but in the war of rhetoric, these comments are what turn into man-bashing sessions from the left.
Performance is entirely relevant because there are two factors here: physical performance and suitability, as well as psychological / sociological suitability.
On both fronts, this may have to be dealt with.
The issue with pregnancy will never get traction unless the issues I just mentioned are addressed. But if the physical performance issue is a slam dunk, then it may put all else to bed.

It's two elections - this all started with the 2012 election and the cover up of Benghazi just weeks before the election. And Wikileaks has blown the doors off. We are going to see an avalanche of material coupled to a substantial amount of resentment in the population.
Wikileaks was the inflection point. Without getting too political here: those that consider themselves the 'seat of govt' over extended themselves. In the next couple of years we're going to find out things about various players, to include high ranking military, that will disturb us. There will be substantial overlap with those pushing the social engineering agenda in the military. Their reign of influence is ending.

You should listen to Zoe Bedell. Maybe you could video your reaction for all of us.

This paperwork burden will contribute to another crisis in manning at the O3 and O4 levels, short term, and if left alone will create problems going up the chain.

quote:Its not a slam dunk though because there will 1 out of 100,000 that can do it. The physical performance argument is actually the weakest argument against allowing women in the combat arms but unfortunately the only one that the average citizen can understand for some ungodly reason. The real issue and best argument is the breakdown in discipline and readiness due to nothing more than what naturally happens when young men and women work together. Especially in close quarters and deployed across the world away from their families. This happens in every civilian occupation as well. Office romance cause drama and problems in nearly every civilian business as well. It's just that the consequences for those problems and drama or far less severe and of course the tax payer aren't subsidizing those problems.
But if the physical performance issue is a slam dunk, then it may put all else to bed.

If you're going to say that this country has taken a monumental turn as a result of this election then it stands to reason that attitudes about constant man-shaming from the left have changed as well. I won't let the threat of being called a sexist deter me from using the best argument possible against a terrible and barbaric policy being pushed by the left.

This social experiment needs to stop.
Aside from women being physically weaker, having periods and mood swings, the dynamic between men and women constantly for a combat arms jobs need to stop.
It can be bad enough in combat support or civilian jobs why bring that in the infantry.

All this PC bull is gonna get men killed. The Infantry is the backbone of the military and cannot afford to be burdened with forced social experiments.
