That’s bullshite to put the blame on Firehouse when 700 businesses have received violations
The casino in Lake Charles got written up for too many people in the pool area on July 4th
A car wash in Metairie received 5 violations
If you want to be pissed at someone get pissed at JBE for his BS mandate that left no room for common sense

so. he stands up for what's right.
the mafia government raids everyone to remind them to pay up and stay in line.
but he's the a-hole, and not the mafia government?

These mask mandates aren't laws.
They violate the right to due process.
This is gonna be funny when idiot governors and mayors get their shite pushed in.

It’s kinda blows my mind that he actually thought he was going to win. He will be regretting his actions.

That's the rub of it all. I've seen this before and I'm sure others on this board who have served have seen it too.
JBE is a former US Army company commander. His reaction as well as demeanor to me seems of that of an inept officer who should have had some scathing bullet points on his OER due to his stupidity. It's the same big green weenie but now civilians get to experience it. Nothing more than heavy handed reactionary nonsense from someone who is incapable of thinking outside the box. He saw it done one way and like an automaton, repeats the same bullshite.
Don't give me the bullshite about how he was so great at West Point. There were plenty of idiots who were ringknockers. If he was so great, why not stay in the extra two years in hopes to make O-4 with all his accomplishments?

Common sense would have been to put a curfew on bars
That stops crowded dance clubs going but allows neighborhood bars to stay open to keep some business
Or just be fair across the board
Close bars = close casinos
Close bars = tell mayors they have to make the local PD enforce the # of people at gatherings which includes gas station get togethers & block parties
ETA
Or take nursing homes out of parish metrics & they could be eligible to opt out of mandate 100%
Covid cases 2718
Covid deaths 49
121 cases are from 2 nursing homes
26 deaths are from 2 nursing homes
Population 140,789

Common sense
That's the problem and while there are leaders in the Army that stress this (as it really does help from a professional and tactical standpoint) there are some who are just filling in a uniform and just repeat the bullshite.
That's what JBE is. He's the kind of person who truly believes in the mantra of "beatings will continue until morale improves". The constant punishments in his mind, because he's incapable of common sense, will work because he probably thought it worked during his command at an infantry company in the 82nd. I'm willing to wager my next paycheck his retention rates were absolutely horrendous during his command.
He doesn't know how to mentor, inspire, motivate, or anything really. He thinks because he's in charge it's his way or the highway. It's probably the reason why he never went above and beyond his service obligation.

Why was he in the wrong, in your opinion?
Because he is wrong/stupid to believe that the health department can't create and enforce health-related regulations for restaurants. Do you think there is legislation for each and every requirement that is looked at during inspections?
Where is the law that says you can't store seafood above other types of food? Where is the law that says you must keep cooked food a certain temp for only a certain amount of time before serving?
Ya'll are embarrassing.
